Nader Abu Tamer

Nader Abu Tamer

is a journalist, editor, and presenter of radio and television programs, as well as an accomplished children’s writer. He was born in Shefa-Amr and studied Arabic language and literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Abu Tamer has worked in translation and participated in hundreds of conferences, many of which he also hosted. He has published critical essays on literature, language, and cultural and social issues in local and international journals, newspapers, and online platforms.

He has served as a lecturer in Arabic and translation at Beit Berl College and Bar-Ilan University.

He began his radio career in 1995, working as a presenter, reporter, and editor for political and cultural programs. He was honored by the Al-Aswar Foundation and the Children’s Center in Acre, and in 2008, he received the Ministry of Culture’s award for creative writing for children.

Among his books are Leila the Green, The Tree of Friends, The Magic Feather, and Zareefa the Giraffe. His translated works include Liar, Don’t Be Jealous and Lina the Sad.
